Three things you did not know about Day of the Dead in Todos Santos

  1. November 1 is All Saints Day (Día de Todos Santos). To celebrate this day, the people of Todos Santos bring the saints that adorn their homes and workplaces to the Mission. Then they start a colorful procession through the streets of the historic center.

  2. On November 1 and 2, you can walk through the streets of the historic center of Todos Santos to appreciate the traditional altars for the dead. You may also join the characteristic costume parades and visit the old cementery where a film projection is held.

  3. You can also get some make-up and costumes at the main plaza to join the traditional dances that are held in front of the kiosk.
